2017 – The BeginningIn 2017, UMA LED Lights took its first step into the LED lighting industry with the launch of its initial product line, marking its entry into the renewable energy and lighting sector. During the same year, the company initiated solar power plant projects, laying the groundwork for future growth. In December 2017, the business was officially registered as an LLP, providing a strong organizational structure to support long-term expansion.
2018
2018 – Expansion into Solar SolutionsThe year 2018 marked a strategic shift towards solar energy solutions. The company established its first manufacturing unit spanning 200 sq. ft., with a primary focus on solar street lighting. This move addressed the rising demand for renewable energy solutions across both urban and rural markets, enabling the company to expand its production capabilities and strengthen its presence in the solar sector.
2019
2019 – Growth, Certifications & Government RecognitionIn 2019, the company experienced rapid growth and infrastructure expansion. The manufacturing facility was increased to 1,600 sq. ft. to meet growing demand for LED and solar products and was later expanded further to 3,200 sq. ft. During this period, UMA LED Lights achieved NABL certification, validating the quality and performance of its products. The company also received approval from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), significantly enhancing its credibility in the renewable energy industry.
2020
2020 – Government Projects & Social ResponsibilityIn 2020, the company entered the public sector by supplying AC street lighting solutions to various government bodies. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, UMA LED Lights demonstrated strong social responsibility by supplying automatic sanitizer machines to over 800 villages, actively contributing to public health and safety during a critical time.

2021 – Product Standardization & Quality CertificationsThe company continued strengthening its market position in 2021 by securing BIS certification for its street lights and floodlights, ensuring compliance with national quality and safety standards. In June 2021, the product portfolio expanded further with BIS approval for highbay lights, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and certified lighting solutions.

2022 – Large-Scale Manufacturing ExpansionIn 2022, UMA LED Lights made a major infrastructure investment by expanding its manufacturing facility to 10,000 sq. ft. This significant upgrade enhanced production capacity and operational efficiency, enabling the company to meet increasing market demand and prepare for future growth in the renewable energy and lighting sector.

2023 – Entry into Lithium Battery ManufacturingThe year 2023 marked a major milestone with UMA LED Lights entering the energy storage segment. The company launched its in-house lithium battery manufacturing plant and received BIS certification for lithium batteries in December 2023. This expansion strengthened the company’s capabilities in delivering integrated and sustainable energy solutions.
